Langston Hughes, lived in Washington D.C. at the 12th Street YMCA during the 1920's at the height of DC's burgeoning literary scene. As one of the founders of the cultural movement known as the Harlem Renaissance, Hughes used the innovation of jazz rhythm and black dialect to depict the life of urban blacks in his powerful writing.

Leather Care:
- Do not attempt to wash or dry clean your Solomon Chancellor bag.
- For surface dirt, wipe clean with a soft cloth.
- Wipe down a bag that has gotten wet with a dry cloth.
- For minor scuffs and scratches, start by using a soft cloth and massaging the area to bring up oils from within the leather.
- For cleaning and conditioning use a leather conditioner. Apply a small amount to a clean, dry cloth and rub gently into the leather, evenly coating a complete section to achieve a uniform result. Test on an unseen spot before applying broadly.
